What is SmartDrain?
SmartDrain is a smart combination of drain plug and filter that replaces the regular loose plug in a compatible sink.

How does SmartDrain work?
SmartDrain works two ways at once.
1. The pop-up plug — press the top to open the drain and let water through. Press again to close it when you want to hold water in the sink.
2. The built-in filter basket — as water passes through, the basket catches hair and grime before they go further down the pipe. It can also catch small items like rings or earrings dropped in the sink. To clean it, just lift it out, empty it and rinse.
Materials & construction
Built for everyday use in bathrooms and other compatible sinks: a sturdy pop-up mechanism with a spring-loaded brass core, a fine stainless steel mesh basket that lets water through while catching larger particles, and a sealing ring that keeps it seated firmly in the drain opening.
How do I install and clean it?
Install: 1. Remove the existing loose plug or insert. 2. Check the drain opening size. 3. Place SmartDrain in the opening. 4. Press the top to check it opens and closes properly. No tools needed.
Clean: lift SmartDrain out, empty the basket, rinse under running water and pop it back in. Done.
Will it fit my sink?
SmartDrain fits most standard sinks and basins (top 6 cm, basket 3 cm wide, 7 cm tall), and comes with 2 extra rubber rings (28 / 33 mm) in case it doesn’t fit snugly straight away. It should sit firmly in the opening with the sealing ring resting correctly against the drain.
